These are the rough age guides we use to determine classes. However if we feel students need to move up due to ability this is something we will be happy to do.

Which class is right for my child?

Ages 0-5

Come and explore with NoodleBug. Will we go to the zoo, space, the beach or even a magical world? Adventures through music, stories, dance and sensory play. This is a class for child and adult.

“Sing and Dance with NoodleBug” Start learning the basics of music and dance. Each half term we will focus on set games and exercises to get your little ones co-ordination, fine motor skills and communication skills going!

Adults are expected to stay but can wait in our cafe!

“Tumbling classes - come and jump, roll, balance and fly in our baby and toddler tumbling classes. We will follow the “Little Cirque” syllabus that is designed for EYFS.

Ages 5-7

Foundation classes are specially designed to give your little ones the best first steps into dance and performing arts. They will develop technique and an understanding and the tools they need for Level 1. They will also gain social skills, independence,
creativity, motor skills and physical strength.

Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro / Cirque and Musical Theatre.
They are also invited to our holiday camps and workshops.
Private lessons can also be booked.

Foundation classes offer a multi class style. This makes sure your little one is exposed to as many techniques as possible- then as they gain more understanding and strength they can chose what suits them the best. These classes will include, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Acro and Circus.

Once your child has completed the foundation classes they will move up to Level 1. This usually takes around 2 years depending on the age and ability they join with. The most important thing is to make sure the students are in the right environmet and level so they can excel at their own pace. They will also be able to take exams and audition for the Elite Team after a year of classes.

Ages 7-9

8-10 year olds will most likely be in Level 1 or grade 2-4. Our aim is to have each student in an environment they can excel in at their own pace.

Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro / Cirque, contemporary, lyrical, singing, acting and Musical Theatre. They are also invited to our holiday camps, workshops and private lessons.

At this level it is expected the students will take annual exams alongside having in house assessments to make sure they are reaching their full potential. It's important to us that the exam experience is a positive and exciting experience for all students.

Once your child has reached their full potential in Level 1 they will be invited to Level 2 classes. This might be as well as or instead of their Level 1 classes.

Ages 10-14

Depending on previous experience it is expected children at this age will be between Level 2 and 3. There are Beginner classes available for pre teens and teens who are interested on starting but don't want to be with the younger students!

Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro / Cirque, contemporary, lyrical, singing, acting and Musical Theatre. Street dance is also introduced at this stage.

At this level it is expected the students will take annual exams alongside having in house assessments to make sure they are reaching their full potential. It's important to us that the exam experience is a positive and exciting experience for all students.

At this stage many students really find their love for performing and dance. They are developing independence and working out their identity. We nurture this is make sure they all excel.

Ages 15-18

Depending on previous experience it is expected children at this age will be a Level 3 or in grade 5 and above. There are Beginner classes available for teens who are interested in starting but don't want to be with the younger students!

Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro / Cirque, contemporary, lyrical, singing, acting and musical theatre, street dance and Pointe workand audition prep is also introduced at this stage.

At this leve lthe students will carry on taking annual exams but some will also be auditioning for vocational schools. We are fully on board and will help prepare the students. Some students will have decided dance is their hobby and we are also more than happy to support this journey too.

Students graduate from our school at age 18. However, they are always welcome back for workshops, helping in class, adult classes or just coming in for a chat!
